Very nice little used Leica M4 silver complete with a Leitz 35mm f2.8 Summaron both with box with matching numbers and several interesting bits and pieces. Most dealers would rate the camera as mint or maybe even as like new but due to some very small signs of use it is rated as mint- just so you are happy when you get the set. No dings or dents or something like that. Technically in perfect working condition. Speeding times are accurate. No problems at all. The Leitz 35mm Summaron lens looks great as well. Some very small signs of use make it less as like new. Lens elements are clean. No haze, fog, scratches or cleaning marks. A bit of dust is visible. Lens comes with front lens cap, plastic container and box with matching number. Great collectible lens. So the full set comes as follows:
- Leica M4 Silver in box with matching number
- Leitz 35mm f2.8 Summaron in box with matching number
- Leica MR-4 Meter in box
- Leitz 14092 leather strap in box
- Leitz 12585 lens hood in box
- Warranty card with matching numbers. Dutch manual and the original invoice from the first owner
As you see listed above the set comes with the original invoice from the first owner indeed. The invoice is dated on December 10 1968. The camera itself is from a batch from March 1968 and the lens is from 1967 so all correct. The first owner not only bought all these pieces which are ALL listed on the invoice but also a Leitz 90mm f2.8 Elmarit lens, Leitz 12575 lens hood, the Visoflex III set, some adapters and a case. All these items are not included.
The complete set and especially as it comes with the original invoice and warranty card and the boxes with matching numbers make it a very interesting and not often found set. Don't miss this one.
